Breaking with Old Ideas is a 1975 Chinese film from the Cultural Revolution which explores the relationship between intellectuals, peasants and workers, an important theme in the Chinese Revolution and in global Maoism.

It’s posted here for people who want to further explore some of the issues discussed in Episode 13, but will have continued relevance as the podcast goes on.
